Well it’s been a while since I have even thought about doing any type of serious writing seeing that most of my work usually ends up not ever getting finished. But it’s my first summer off in a while and it’s just about done just about a month left so I think I will use it to do something. So after reading a few things on authors taking 30 or 40 days to write a novel I have decided to take it up myself, but with my own unfinished work.
So starting tomorrow I will be trying my best to follow a 30 day challenge of my own creation. Over the next 30 days I will be going over my unfinished work and trying to finish as much of them as possible. If all goes well I should be done with the novel I started last year, go over the short stories I have written since then, and maybe start a second set of short stories. And if that feeling I use to get when I wrote last year comes back then I will be turning the 30 days to something I do every day again.
I think this might be just what I need to start writing again or what I need to do so I can stop writing all together it’s kind of a get back into the grove or close the door deal. It’s funny I thought for a long time that writing would be my life but now it seem like it’s more like Pandora’s box that I opened.
So here is hoping that I get my grove or mojo whatever it’s called back. But on the bright side I did just about finish the first volume of my short story collection. All that remains is to review a few more pages of it to review and it’s complete, so if I get back into writing it will be the first of many if not well it’s the first.
