Enough about my health, now for my other New Year’s resolutions. I’m going to be rebuilding the MowUniverse website completely, but I’m not going to do it all at once this time. Instead, I’m going to do it as a project. I intend to take the entire year to do it and try to make something new. Taking my time each step of the way, making sure the website functions quickly and the best it can. While doing that, I’m going to add content, which will mostly be my work that I’ve done so far in the Cursed Heroes series.
The other thing I have planned, which is not really a resolution is to do an online class. To be more clear, I want to create an online class. This class is going to be a creative writing course focusing on how to build a universe or world. A fantasy world from the ground up. I thought about doing it because it’s one of the things I do very well: however, I’ve noticed there isn’t a lot of classes out there to help anyone just starting off trying to find out how to do it. And the few that are outrageously expensive. So, I decided to share my tricks and my tips that I’ve used over the past fourteen years or so since I wrote my first story. Granted, that first story was pretty bad, but I still created a whole world just for that one story. That world was small in comparison to the universe I’ve built now though.
I wanted to share some of the tips and techniques that I’ve developed over those years. Hopefully, they can help someone else keep their stories a bit more consistent and together, and hopefully they can cut down on the rewrites and still end up with a good story. I also talk about a few things I do to help with my creativity. I will be starting it on Monday, January 15th. Before I go I’ll tell you the title I came up with for the class. I’m calling it: “Write like your life depends on it, because it doesn’t. ”
Well, that’s all for now.
