As I was transferring my old posts back to this website, when I stumbled upon some forgotten gems – my 30-day challenges. It’s been years since I last attempted one and actually did it, but now I’m feeling the itch to embark on a new writing adventure. The only problem is, I’m torn between two options: should I focus on completing a novel or finishing one of the movie scripts I started?
Both options have their appeal. On one hand, the script offers a unique opportunity to explore storytelling through a visual medium. The allure of crafting compelling dialogue and captivating scenes is hard to resist. it would also be a whole new challenge for me as i haven’t done one before On the other hand, the idea of diving into a novel and delving deep into the minds of my characters is equally enticing. Which could be the key to breaking free from the writing black hole I’ve been stuck in.
Perhaps the solution lies in taking on both challenges simultaneously. After all, why limit myself to just one? With a month’s worth of dedicated writing time, I could make significant progress on both projects. It would be a test of my creativity and discipline, pushing me to the limits of my storytelling abilities. and my ability to stay focused and block out distractions.
so I’ll be deciding and letting you know this time i will actually pick what I’m doing before starting the challenge as in the past when i start and didn’t finish past a week i didn’t pick anything to start with just a general I’m going to write.
