As I take a trip down memory lane, I can’t help but marvel at how long I have been immersed in the online world. While sifting through the archives on the Wayback Machine to restore my lost posts, I realized just how far back it goes – all the way to 2009. when I had just graduated from high school, hadn’t even started my first regular job, and already running my first website.
Well, technically, it was my second website since I didn’t do much with the first one. Actually, if we count the first one, it would be number three, but that was just a blogger site, so it doesn’t really count. But that one dates back to 2008 when I first dipped my toes into blogging.
Looking back, some of the stuff I wrote back then was just plain bad. It’s amazingto see how much I’ve grown since then. The sheer volume of writing I have done over the years is staggering. I went from learning to write clearly to mastering the art of crafting captivating stories that hold the readers’ minds hostage.
When I reflect on my early writing, I remember struggling to string together two coherent paragraphs. Now, I have honed my skills to the point where I can weave words to transport the reader into the midst of a battle in a completely different reality. The transformation is truly remarkable.
Over the past 15 years, many of the websites I relied on for writing guidance and maintaining my site have disappeared. all except one and thats WP Beginner. So not to be one of them i have paid my hosting and domain name for the next five years, along with daily backups to Google Drive and weekly downloads to my PC, I can rest assured that I won’t experience any more lost pages or even a lost site.
Now, I can focus on finally building out my site according to the plans I made years ago. While there may not be many big changes in the coming months, there will be a significant influx of new content. Meaning I am rapidly approaching my goal of 250 posts for the year, with just two months remaining. It’s going to be a fruitful journey, and soon, my other two sites will also be up and running with even more content.
Here’s to the next five years and hopefully a better, stronger site for the 20th anniversary!
