Embracing Voice Recognition
Soo it’s been a while since I used voice recognition to do any kind of typing, not so much because I’m not really good at using voice recognition or that I don’t want to use voice recognition, but it’s more along the lines that I had no real need to use any kind of voice recognition. The main reason is just because I haven’t written a book in a long time and that is my main purpose for using voice recognition. Not because I typed so much faster than I speak but more along the lines of I have an easier time typing things out, because my thoughts flow a little bit better when I’m typing versus when I’m speaking.
The Efficiency of Voice Recognition in Editing
Also, when it comes to editing, it is much, much faster, to use voice recognition versus editing normally. For example, something that would take maybe two hours to edit turns into something that takes about an hour to edit. Simply put, it takes much less time to correct things when you’re editing with your voice, especially when you don’t have to worry about spelling errors. Just misuse words or things being capitalized incorrectly. which for me is the biggest reason to use voice recognition over Just normal typing with Microsoft Word or a not pad or anything else, when I’m writing a new book.
Reviving an Old Project
With that being said? I am actually going to be writing a new book Well, it’s not completely new. I’m going to be finishing a book I started many, many years ago. Actually, it’s one of the 1st books I started and I never seem to get all the way through it no matter what I do. I keep starting ending at one point and going back months later. Then going back through what I started and then writing some more and then stopping, before I can finish the book. The last time I did, I actually went through the entire thing and when I got to the point where it needed to continue I got one page more and then stopped, it took about 2 weeks. But I corrected most of the book enhanced a lot of the stuff changed around characters and then I end up stopping again. Because, for some reason I keep trying to add it in to the rest of my Cursed heroes book series. But it never seems to work out to fit in the series like I want it to.
New Beginnings and Cover Designs
But this time it’s different at least I hope this time is going to be different. I did start working on the cover for it also, so I have a few covered designs for it. Still decided on which one I will use for the actual cover, but I’m thinking I’m going to do a couple more cover designs as I go along before I make that decision. I’ll probably do a different one every week. Let’s see what they come out as and maybe I can get some good ones by the time I’m done with the book and probably finalize the cover by then.
Looking Ahead
Anyway, Happy New Year to all and look out for the upcoming book. I’m going to show the cover as I have it now. Then I’m going to start releasing chapter by chapter over on the MOWuniverse site. I’ll also try and write a lot more on here. And use voice recognition to do my blog posts so I can cut down some time working on the blog and put more time in working on the new book Well, books cause I have quite a few plan for this year.
