While watching the science channel today i heard that the speed of light might one the just be a suggestion and not a limit. At first thought this seams like a joke but something came to mind about plains as we know them today compared to when they were first invented. Its a know fact that when the plain was invented no one thought it would be possible to fly faster than the speed of sound, but in less than one hundred years we have managed to build a plain the reaches a top speed of just over six times the speed of sound. so maybe in two hundred years someone will be looking back thinking i can’t believe they thought the speed of light couldn’t be passed.
i mean really i know that it is pretty much a law of physics that you can’t pass the speed of light but laws are there as a rule nothing says we can’t break them, in fact many of the things we hold to be as law are broken in a black hole so who knows maybe there is something out there that we have never seen that will allow us to break the light barrier. i just have one question will there be a version of the sonic boom when we do kind of like a light boom. it’s just a thought.
Maybe it will look like a sonic boom but instead of a could you will see a flash then nothing.
